Suzanne Ackerley

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2008 and strive to provide a truly excellent all-round, dedicated and personalised service to our livestock farmers.

I particularly enjoy the mixed practice variety, cruising the countryside, catching up with farmers and of course, treating their animals.

Two of my favourite veterinary procedures are castrations and abscesses! (Someone has to!) Another particular interest is livestock reproduction, including fertility visits and bull testing.

I live on a beef and sheep farm with my husband and our two children, who love the farming life too. You'll see me with Lou, our little Jack Russell that loves being out and about and riding shotgun! We also have 3 collie pups that I'm trying to train to be good sheepdogs...watch this space!

Providing our decided in-house out of hours service is a passion and being able to answer the phone myself for emergency assistance is a privilege to ensure our clients' livestock and horses are all given the absolute best service 24-hours a day.

I'm Clinical Director at Eden & Border and think we have an amazing team hence why I've been here for 15 years!
